Health Awareness

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. - Romans 12:1-2

Our Mission

The Health Awareness Ministry (HAM) aims to prepare the hearts and minds of individuals to be receptive to God's call. As health educators and advocates, we promote the will of God by teaching and evangelizing in this present age on various healthcare treatment and prevention topics.

Living Life More Abundantly even during a Pandemic: Coping with Covid 19

What is COVID-19COVID-19, also known as 2019-nCoV or SARS-CoV-2, is a positive sense, single-strand enveloped RNA virus of the family Coronaviridae that is the cause of the pandemic in late 2019 and currently ongoing in 2020. It primarily causes upper and lower respiratory tract infections.

We appreciate that the spread of the Covid 19 virus has impacted many individuals and families. Therefore the tips below (created by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention) are shared as healthy ways of coping.

  • Know what to do if you are sick and are concerned about COVID-19. Contact a health professional before you start any self-treatment for COVID-19.

  • Know where and how to get treatment and other support services and resources, including counseling or therapy (in person or through tele-health services).

  • Take care of your emotional health. Taking care of your emotional health will help you think clearly and react to the urgent needs to protect yourself and your family.

  • Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including those on social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting.

  • Take care of your body.

  • Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy.

  • Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.

  • Stay Connected with God & the Church. While social distancing measures are in place stay connected online by phone or mail. Know that as a church for all people, we at Triedstone are here to help and support. Our virtual church has many classes, workshops and bible classes for all ages. We also have various prayer sessions and Virtual Fresh Thoughts throughout the week. Remember Stay Connected!
