Baptisms

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: - Matthew 28:19

What is baptism?

Baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of one's faith and new life in Jesus Christ. It is an outward expression or testimony of an inward invisible change. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Who should be baptized?

For many, after salvation, baptism represents the first public step of obedience to Christ. Anyone who has experienced God’s saving grace and responded through faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins is a candidate for baptism. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Why should Christians be baptized?

Scripture tells us that baptism is a way we identify with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It publicly announces that we have turned from our former ways and thoughts, and have made the decision to walk in a new life with Christ as Lord and Savior. Baptism does not make you a believer - it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not "save" you, only your faith in Christ and through His power does that occur. Ephesians 2:8,9

What to do next...how should I plan?

At Triedstone we place a lot of importance on baptism.  The first step begins with completing the form. Our ministers will follow-up to answer your questions and prepare you for this special occasion in which your family and friends are welcome to join us in celebration.
